Aviation / Air Crew Survival Level 1

 

This course is two days of informative learning with group discussions. All of the training is scenario based. Whether fixed wing or rotary wing, single engine or multi engine, our information and training is applicable. This course is also about leadership under less than ideal circumstances.

Our instructors possess knowledge with experience. Our background is in military aviation and Search and Rescue (see instructor biographies).

Intended audience

Aircrew and frequent flyers of the north. i.e. Nurses, Teachers, Police, Hydro, Aircraft technicians, C.A.S.A.R.A, Communications technicians, Sheriff, Public prosecutor, etc.

Teaching points include (but not limited to)

  • Preparation checklist (survival go bag)
  • Post-forced landing/crash
  • Situational Awareness
  • Assessment and Actions
  • Gathering resources (people and supplies)
  • Emergency team building: (Who’s running the show?)
  • Survival pattern
  • Search & Rescue resources

Duration 2 Days

Day One 8 hours of instruction and practical demonstrations
Day Two 8 hours of outdoor instruction and participation

Cost  $300 (+ tax)

Prerequisites

  • Proper equipment and environmental clothing as per Kitlist
  • Open mind

Aviation / Air Crew Survival Level 2

 

This course is three full days of learning with an overnight.
We will provide you with a “safe” overnight survival experience.
How to avoid costly mistakes when it counts.
What it takes to assist in your own rescue, should the need arise.
A real team building opportunity and a perfect way to field test equipment!
Experience is the best educator!
